Kaolin is used all over the world in everyday products. It is commonly
referred to as china clay due to it's extensive use in the production of Good
China dishware, as well as other ceramics, medicine, coated paper, food
additives, toothpaste, cosmetics, bug repellent/deterrent, Kaopectate
(anti-diarrhea medicine) and other everyday items.
Kalonite
is a white clay found in varying-sized deposits around the United
States, including the one that this investment opportunity focuses
upon. That deposit is ideally situated in California which has one of the
largest cement markets in the US.
Kaolin may be further processed to create a
building material superior to white conventional cement in strength,
durability, color and chemical stability. Processed kaolin has the unique properties of being far
lighter than conventional cement yet far stronger. Testing of the product in cement mixtures has shown that admixtures of 20 percent kaolin and
80 percent conventional cement reduce the carbon footprint while
increasing the tensile strength of the resulting concrete by 50 to 70
percent. In comparison one pound of
Portland produces 1 lb of CO2; however, our proprietary blend, "Sequoiacrete" which is an alternative to Portland cement, will produce minimal
to zero CO2 in its regular mix.
